Pittsburgh is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Pittsburgh follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Visited Butterwood Bake Consortium around 9:30 PM and it felt like stepping into a cozy little fairytale cafe. The warm ambience, dried flowers, artistic plates on the wall, and antique hand gesture decor made the place feel intimate and unique. Itβs perfect for a cute date night, small talks over coffee, or satisfying late-night sweet cravings after dinner. We tried the Vegan Chocolate Tea Cake with black sesame buttercream and the Lavender Tea Cake with fig buttercream. Both cakes were beautifully presented and tasted amazing in their own way. I personally felt each one shines better individually rather than together, because their flavors are so distinct that one tends to overpower the other when paired side by side. We even grabbed coffee in between bites to reset our palate and appreciate both flavors properly. Loved the creativity, presentation, and the whole vibe of the place. Definitely worth visiting if you enjoy unique desserts and aesthetic cafes.

This is one of the most beautiful bakeries in the world. The cakes are all beautifully decorated and taste just as wonderful as they look! The bakery itself is an old compelan home with ample seating. Great place to come hang out, bring a date, spot worth a book, or bring the parents. They also have a great selection of tea and coffee.

Although the service was lovely and helpful, and the atmosphere is charming but a tad dark, I was not impressed with the desserts we tried. The chocolate chip cookie sandwich with peanut butter buttercream was our favorite but not a stand out from what you might get at other bakeries. The raspberry rose tea cake was a very good texture, but neither the cake or the buttercream had a very strong raspberry flavor (or much flavor of any sort), a bit disappointing as I love raspberry with cake. The browned butter blondie had a good flavor, but was very dry and crumbly, more than blondies Iβve had elsewhere. The price point was a bit high for the experience we had, and I know the price is driven by the use of high quality ingredients, but the end products were not as high quality as I had hoped for given the very positive reviews Iβve heard from other people.

A beautiful, dark academia vibe-y cake shop! The decor was so lovely. I liked that the cakes had floral accents on them and that they sell vibrant dried bouquets of flowers too. Cake-wise, they make great desserts. The raspberry hibiscus one was a dream. The soft cake, the dried pieces of fruit, the airy whipped topping - this was a treat. I tried an earl gray one too, and while I liked it, that one did have a bit too much salt (I think? Or just too strong of another flavor) for my taste. I recommend this place for the cool environment and the cakes, especially the raspberry hibiscus!
